About Us

The Indigenous in Business category was incorporated with the Ethnic Business Awards in 2010. Recognising the migrant contribution to Australia’s business landscape is a really important step in supporting diversity in Australia, but we felt strongly that the First Australians should also be included in these awards.  We set about showcasing diligence and endeavour by Indigenous Australians and we brought attention to the achievements and the unique stories of these Aboriginal finalists.  At that time no one else was doing this. We are proud to be the first and proud to continue this important work.

There are other awards but the Indigenous Business Awards are not like any others.

How are we different?  Well the way we present our awards is one point of difference.  We produce inspiring content that captures the finalists, their business, the area they are from, their hurdles and ultimately their successes.  Everyone has a story and we are fortunate to have such a rich pool of talented business men and women who share those stories with us each year. This is an award ceremony unlike any other.
